The Mason Lions Club is active in the Community.
Here are some of our ongoing projects:
Eye Tissue Transportation: Members of the Mason Lions Club coordinate and provide the transportation for eye tissue from various hospitals to the Eye Bank in Ann Arbor
Leader Dog Development: We support a group of local dog trainers who both work with the Leader Dog puppy program and also rescue dogs from the Ingham County Animal Shelter, evaluate them, and train them for service at Leader Dog and other service areas.
Scholarships: The Mason Lions Club has provided two scholarships each year for deserving seniors at Mason High School. One scholarship honors Ralph "Bud" Swinehart. Bud was a charter member of the club and his example of service to the community is one that we honor by providing a scholarship to a student who has also shown his or her dedication to community service.
